Hunger

The moon was at its fullest the night that Calathean left home. He was being called somewhere... somewhere not far away. What was calling him, he didn't know. But he had to find out why. For hours, Calathean ran through the moonlit forests of the Gladeveins. He felt his form shift and change with every quickening step. His hunger grew with it, a hunger for something... forbidden. I can feel it! I'm so close I can almost taste it! A light just past the treeline make him skid to a stop. A Guardian and her hatchling were walking home late in the night. The sight made Calathean's hunger intensify. He could sense the urges in the back of his mind. Take. Ravage. Devour. Resisting every vile craving, he tried to back away. But a twig snapped beneath his talons, catching the attention of the little child. It looked right at him, right at the forest monster, with an excited look. "Mommy! Mommy! I saw the harvest spirit! It was big and fluffy and leafy and and AND-" "Quiet down, sweetie." The mother replied. "If you really saw a spirit, then you should be respectful to it instead of yelling." The hatchling awkwardly said towards the treeline, "Sorry for yelling, Mr. Spirity. Have a pleasanterer evening!" With that, the mother and child walked out of sight down the path. They... think I'm a spirit? Like a ghost? These people believe that spirits deserve respect just for existing. Huh. I wonder if spirits deserve sacrifices too...

- Realizes that the people celebrate the harvest spirit, so he begins hunting Zorrakis to tbd
- Sees Onix as blind to his own fate
- Thinks that Mydryn is too unpredictable & impulsive, & that it will be her downfall
- Causes the fields to grow rapidly when nearby
- Has enchanted the crops so that few notice him, even in full view broad daylight situations
- Omer can still see & sense him & is wary
