Unwanted by her previous Clan, Astaia wondered the world of Sornieth without direction or hope. As a lonely Guardian with no ward she felt alone, unfulfilled and though her strength and size was a deterrence to many,she soon came upon the arid dry lands of the Earthshaker. Drawn by the skyreaching Pillar of the World, she unfortunately stumbled down the breach during a moonless night. Injured and unable to escape, Astaia slowly began to succumb to her supposed fate. When dawn she was nudged awake by a beautiful sight. As she stared at the Imperial whom scooped her up and climbed expertly back up the canyon walls. Her rescuer was the leader of a nearby clan Sgail Lasair, Marcellus. She explained her situation the the understanding dragon, stating how alone she had felt since leaving her previous clan, not alluding to the reasons why. He thought a moment before indicating that she follow him, hesitant to do so, Astaia had traveled the world, trusting no one but herself. Surely this dragon meant no harm, especially with how gently and kindly he treated her, even going so far as to help heal her wounds from the fall. Slowly, she began to follow him. The journey to her new home had been long,hard and fraught with uncertainties and dangers. But the moment she stepped out of the tunnel into the Terraclae, curious eyes gazed from various small caves where dragons of all shapes and sizes would watch, before many hopped, climbed and flew down to greet her. For the first time in many months, she was finally home. Some days later, wanting to feel at peace with herself, she chose to become a Skydancer. |
