Onyxia is a dancer. Both on the ground and in the sky, she always moves with grace and is often said to move with the wind. She is a gentle soul and would never harm another unless it was absolutely needed. Despite her love of dance and aerial aerobics, she is the clans menagerie keeper. She attends to the needs and daily life of the clans pets and beastclan friends. As such she does not actually live in the confines of the caves, she lives at the foot of the volcano, still within clan territory, amongst the trees and fields where the pets and friends are kept safe and happy. Her own personal attendant is Khadgar the king Parda, who is often seen watching over the less intelligent animals, or curled up with Onyxia, his favourite mistress.

Onyxia prefers the open air living style and resides in a shelter made mostly of columns and promenades, having a slanted roof only for the purpose of shelter from rain and falling debris from the mountains. During the winter, she and the animals retreat to the inner most portions of the clans cave system, where they have dug out a large enough space to house all the animals, a miniature forest and a plump garden, accessorized with a natural waterfall and pool.
