Biography

waterflower.png Uh-oh, looks like this bright blue boy wandered a little too far from his home lair (spliinters), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Astro {he/they}
~~
When Astro found himself in the far-flung regions of the Lightweaver's lands, he was a bit at a loss. He wasn't entirely sure of his bearings and argued fervently with himself about whether or not he was lost. He stumbled across a young skydancer absorbed in study. Before he was even able to inquire of the stranger, he found himself the object of fascinated scrutiny.

The skydancer, introducing himself as Starbird, had never seen another dragon with such enhancements as Astro had and was eager to learn more. A bit of a loner, Starbird invited Astro to spend time at his tower with the request that Astro assist him with his study and experiments. Amenable to this, Astro took up with the skydancer and found himself wrapped up in Starbird's experiments.

Through these experiments Astro began to develop his own magical potential, learning to shape the world around him and receive insight from his own self. In time, Astro was in complete conscious accord with himself in a way that allowed him to wield power he'd never thought to consider. Delighted with his pupil/research subject's progress, Starbird encouraged Astro's journey into magic use. He began to send Astro further and further afield to facilitate experimentation with long distance communication. Particularly interested in the power of two to amplify communication abilities, he would have Astro journey to remote locations and attempt communication. Astro would travel to these places and then reach out to connect with Starbird via magical resonance.

However, Starbird, like many who immerse themselves in magical study, was notoriously forgetful in the face of fresh discoveries. Thusly, there eventually came a time when Astro ventured to a far-flung rock in the middle of the Sea of a Thousand currents and received no reply to his repeated message-sending. After two days with no response, Astro decided to cut his losses and continue his travels armed with a new set of magical skills.

The lair Astro found themself in seemed a little too familiar, but he couldn't remember. Why couldn't he remember? His magical abilities had grown strong enough that surely this aberration could overcome this memory block. Not once did he ever consider that there would be a day that he would find himself in an unsolvable situation. Their memory was pristine. This just didn't seem real; or possible, for that matter.

There was a specific dragon that approached him first when he entered Soteris, Martin didn't seem to be a dragon Astro was familiar with, but they still agreed to discuss their problems. The shiny blue skydancer was convinced he could tap into Astro's memories using magic, so they let him attempt. The attempt resulted in a failure, and Astro left feeling like he wasted his time.

Not much longer after that, a pearlcatcher by the name Cynfaen, spoke with Astro. He explained that he also had amnesia and that he just accepted it, and that Astro should as well. Despite how dismissive that idea was, the aberration decided to try it. Cynfaen was right that not much would likely come from remembering their last visit to Soteris. The two agreed to stay in contact for as long as possible, since the cyan dragon, once again, had to leave.

After they said their goodbyes, this aberration set off to explore the rest of Sornieth. By the time he was near the border of Sunbeam Ruins, he stopped and wondered where it was that he had just left. For some reason, they had no idea, but Astro felt like they left someone behind.

Astro's stay in this town was far more mundane than the other places he had been to--not that he could recall them very well--where HAD he been to before this place? Regardless he felt it was a nice break from...all that. Whatever it was. He felt quite worn and tired at least, that's all he knew. Astro met a cartographer during his stay while stopping by a coffee shop for a drink and fell into a whole rabbit hole as the cartographer eagerly explained their research on a nearby abandoned minetown that were the only remains of the residents of the past. There was told to be hidden treasures down there and Astro learned they already had unearthed a few pieces of old memorabilia. He somehow found himself roped into going on a trip with the cartographer to the site and listened to the other dragon chatter on about the history of the place and all that was learned so far. He wasn't particularly one to be interested in history but he had to admit it was fascinating to learn about the past lives of dragons before his time. On his way back the cartographer offered him a print of what he had mapped out so far to help Astro on his journey ahead lest he get lost. He said goodbye to his friend and set out on his journey...of whatever it may be. He just knew he needed to get somewhere, and this map surely would help, though he wasn't sure where he got it from. It was quite helpful at least, as it mapped out a good chunk of Sornieth in the direction he was heading. He wondered, would he find whatever he was searching for up ahead?

Astro's stay here at this forest was peaceful and interesting. It was interesting because he found an very old tree. He wonder if there are any dragons that live here in this forest. So, he went on searching to find other dragons that live here. Sadly few days pass, there were no signs of other dragons that live here. Astro got upset because he wanted to make new friends here and tell them about his travels. So he sadly flew off to the keep on traveling some more. As he was flying, he notice there is a kingdom with dragons and he wish that he know about this place. But, it was to late to visit the kingdom now.

Astro soon found themself gliding over the ruined territory of the emperor Luminax. From what he saw, it was barren. No dragons, no wildlife, and only dry brush that was scattered scarcely over the dusty soil. As they landed, a plume of dust coiled up around them. After dusting themself off, he proceeded to wander to and fro trying to find the slightest sign of a den. Suddenly, something darted through Astro's peripheral vision. He whipped one of their heads towards the motion while the other scanned the opposite direction. Seemingly out of nowhere he found themself surrounded by a small pack of mirrors. The seeming leader of the pack(a red and black mirror adorned with a skull) stepped forward and proceeded to explain how he had stumbled upon the hollow clan territory. With this she, along with the other mirrors escorted Astro to a gaping cavern filled with dragons of all species and elements.

He rested there for a while, finding his time in the Hollow to be quite peaceful aside from the occasional tremors that indicated that Luminax was nearby. During his time there he became aquatinted with some of the permanent residents along with some of the other travelers that had also stopped to rest there. But soon the time came to head off once again. So he said his fair wells as those in the Hollow wished him luck and safe travels.
