Biography
Chosen Mate: None
Good Point: Shrewd shopper
Bad Point: Cold attitude
Role: Necroservus
Necromantic Symbol(s): Tools
General Job: Responsible for acquiring all of the materials Crotalus and his construction crew might ever need
Uncommon eyes meant an unusually fast infection for most that had them, and she was no exception. Unfortunately, fighting it off was an entirely different situation. It took much longer than usual for Sistrurus to pass the second trial - so much so, she had barely any time to be ready for the final one. And when the time came to show if she could both infect and cure, the auraboa only showed the power to do only the former.
But this wouldn't stop her from doing something for the Plaguebringer or other necromancers. Nor would it stop her from doing it her own way. While Sistrurus still communed with the Web on occasion to keep up-to-date on matters, she stayed firmly independent for a time - doing occasional repairs on things as she traveled. Those occasional repairs, however, helped her hone a particular skill - an eye for good materials, the best needed for such jobs. And it was when she was procuring materials that she came across Crotalus.
Their gazes met, and both dragons judged one another. Words were exchanged calmly, but there was a subtle tension underneath it all as the two were trying to assess just how good one another was in the field. But eventually, it came to an end with Crotalus' words. "You've got a good eye for materials. Come work for me. You'll be provided with the necessities courtesy of the clan I associate with, pay and working hours are assured to be fair. If you end up with any problems, you have the freedom to speak your mind."
It was an interesting proposal, but Sistrurus had her own piece to add. "On the condition I am treated as your equal, necromancer." Expecting a refusal then and there, the auraboa was caught by surprise when Crotalus answered with a single word. "Deal."
And now they were in this together. Though if you were to ask either one of them today, both would say it worked out well enough.
Sistrurus is, lime many necromantic auraboa, highly independent. Though she acts to gather high-quality materials at good prices for Crotalus and the rest of the construction crew, she is set on the fact that she must be allowed to attain all of it her way. However, these things seem not to bother her boss or her coworkers - Sistrurus is to this day still baffled they call their little entourage this, despite the fact it isn't one made up of only sandsurges.
It's not unheard of for Sistrurus to use her connection to the Web to learn of potentially good trade deals on certain materials, or where the highest-quality stuff is. However, it's something she much prefers to do in person. Instead, much of her time with the Web is actually spent keeping herself informed about the rest of the necromantic community's goings-on. Despite how tense her relationship with Crotalus seems, the two actually get along. Sistrurus respects that Crotalus takes his job seriously even if it seems like something that might not be as useful to other necromancers, and Crotalus has a respect both for Sistrurus' resolve and her ability to pick out the finest goods.
