Sirius

Pathfinders or Pathfinder Lights is a group that embodies the idea of Night Lights directly. They're dark-colored dragons with light accents, but that's not required, just recommended. Their mission is patrolling the vast territories of Sornieth and helping those who has lost their way or has no resources to get to their destination. Sometimes they even don't appear to the wayward ones, just leaving some food and a note with directions next to them in sleep. Sometimes they heal ill and injured. They try not to fight, but sometimes they have to defend the weakened ones. They're always ready to help members of allied races, like dryads or Dunhoof centaurs, but sometimes they help even marens and harpies though trying not to appear to them in person. Let them think there were some benevolent spirits or something. Pathfinders do not seek any alliances, they're not interested in politics. All they want is saving lives.

Sirius is the leader of the Pathfinders. Born in a Shadow clan, as an Imperial he has the Light blood in him. Bearing stellar marks on his midnight hide, the immense dragon looks like a living constellation. Thus being between Light and Darkness and bearing a stellar name, he's chosen to be just that, the light in the darkness, asking for nothing and fighting for nothing except sending rays of hope to the lost ones. Sirius is not alone. His assistant is his mate Galaxy, a stellar Imperial too, and there is a group of other Pathfinder Lights around them.

Pathfinders have rather strict, almost military discipline. That's the fact that frightens some potential Pathfinders. Sirius considers such discipline necessary, for when it's about saving lives, everything personal must be put aside. On the other hand, there are others who perhaps do not implement the idea of a Pathfinder exterior but dream of becoming one. After all, Sirius says, discipline and dedication are much more important than appearance.
