Originally a Skydancer, Tierra was born in Gladebough Village to Skydancer mother Ulzelfa and Imperial father Ashus. She was small and sickly from the moment she broke free from her egg, even though her brother was a healthy hatchling. As time progressed, her condition worsened, and she became ill. After consulting every healer they could find in the village with no success, her parents took her to the heart of the Viridian Labyrinth in search of a cure.

At the inner branches of the Behemoth, a strange dragon spoke to them, one of a sort they had never seen before. It was only later they learned the name of the species: Auraboa. The Auraboa had a wealth of knowledge, and advised them to leave the tree, to go to the Shrieking Wilds. So they did. And deep within the wilds, they found what they needed.

They found a lurking beast, a creeping creature of plants and moss that moved slowly and seemed to be taken over by the very landscape itself. They didn't realize that this creature was a dragon, the very same as them, until they saw his pearl. The dragon, old and overgrown, introduced himself as a Pearl Cerdae. He had already known why the Imperial and the Skydancer had departed their lair, from the moment he saw the sick hatchling in their arms. He told them that the Labyrinth could help. Told them that there was a way.

"if you want to heal her, you must be prepared to leave her."

The words had rocked Ashus and Ulzelfa to the core. They didn't want to think that the only way to save Tierra was to leave her in the heart of the wilds. But they had tried everything else.
