Biography

This dragon is inspired by the Starfish Cactus, otherwise known as Stapelia hirsuta. It is native to Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Zaire, and Tanzania. It grows low to the ground, under shrubs, and has star-shaped yellow flowers with wine spotting which bloom in summer. This rare succulent can be quite smelly as it prefers to be pollinated by fruit flies. This plant prefers bright sunlight. For it to thrive, keep it between 10 to 32 degrees Celsius. Once the soil is dry, wait an additional 5 to 10 days before watering. This succulent dragon was proudly propagated in The Verdant Hatchery.
