Biography

Linnea - the scarred

Linnea does not speak, but the scars that cover her body speak volumes. She had been found by Tequemitan while he was out on one of his diplomatic missions, the sole survivor of a clan destruction, more dead than alive at that time. Tequemitan brought her back to the clan and she was taken in, even though Alatariel had ordered not to bring more of these suspicious new dragons. She was presumed a lost case anyway, having fatal wounds, but after a lot of combined work from the healers, she did open her eyes again. She seemed dazed and wouldn't speak a word even when it was obvious that the tending to her wounds hurt her, so she was considered mute until the night came and brought the nightmares. Linnea's screams echoed through the icy caverns of the clan and woke every dragon in the vicinity.
Finally a sleeping spell and special herbs calmed her and let her sleep quietly. It was still decided that she would be located further away from the other dragons. Tequemitan and Kithereth wanted to take her in, but both were away often due to their positions as diplomats, so the duty to care for her was given to Lavan. Alatariel thought it might help him to feel needed (and keep him out of clan affairs at the same time).
Linneas fearful behaviour of the first few weeks vanished as she slowly recovered and it seemed that the grumpy attitude of Lavan helped her more than fussing over her. She showed interest in fighting and proved to be vicious when put to a test, ruthless even.
She often follows Alatariel and is the only hatchling, that doesn't seem scared of the Matriach and her laboratory.
She still doesn't speak, only sometimes chirping noises escape her, when she's excited.
