SOUTHERN SKYWAY
RESPITE AND TRADE STATION

The clan has been living in the Southern Icefields for several years now. A large respite station has formally opened by the clan to coincide with the founder's fourth birthday. The station is located on the north-eastern coast of the Southern Icefields.

STATION MAINTENANCE: THE VENTS
The immense lengths of heating vents that run through the station are constantly in need of maintenance, oversight or improvements. The Nocturne Construction Crew who originally built the network of metal ducts now have other projects to work on. The job of caring for the vents has fallen to Zeff, who, with his sinuous body, is able to easily traverse their lengths.

Zeff keeps the architectural schematics close at claw. He has not been working at the station long enough to know the passageways like he back of his hand, but he has already identified several problem areas. These risk areas are the vent’s access points to the outside, which may bring in harmful elements and pests. His main job is to look and listen for any beasts or vermin who make their way inside. The warm vents can provide beasts with relief from the snow, but it’s not good for keeping the system in working order. He removes them and tries to patch up and improve upon the vent’s security.

He has a tiny work room on the Craftman's Level that he uses to make plans and repairs when he’s not in the vents. The workstation itself is next to the Slime’s Cleaning Factory and the Smelt My Heart Metalsworks. It’s a convenient location as raw materials can be brought from the forge next door, and Overhaul always had the job of returning Slime’s lost pets from the vents. Zeff hates touching those “things” so he always charges Slime a recovery fee and tells him to teach them better directions. In return, Slime doesn’t clean Zeff’s messy workstation without a cleaning fee.
