The Lore

In the East of the Wandering contagion is a cave that leads deep into the bowels of Sornieth. There are many paths that branch and twist in the darkness and they lead to many miserable fates. But those who follow the right roads into the darkness will find themselves in the splendor and ruin of the Lich Queen's Court. This court is growing, thriving cancer on the world working with a singular aim: To devour Sornieth and all that lives and grows on the planet making it part of the Shade.

The Shade has found a breach in the power of the Dragon Gods by way of the rigorous Necromancer trials. By seducing or infecting ambitious dragons who are taking their trials or who crave greater power than the Mother of Rot has offered them the Shade spreads its influence. In the court of the Lich Queen, dragons learn of the power the Shade can offer and swear fealty to its cause. They set off to the Wyrm Wound not to pursue the power of Plaguebringer but the starless corruption of the Shade. They have chosen to walk the darker path.

The Technical Details

Speaking Scars is a limited lore based Necromancer and Divergence lineage. I am seeking two dragons out of it myself and when I have those dragons the lineage will end. That could be the next nest or it could take years.

Necromancer and Divergence dragons will be available in small creative events based around villainous character types or other dark and evil themes. An inspiration seed such as a song or picture may be provided. There will probably be updates to how this works over time.


F.A.Q.

Can I just buy a hatchling?

• Nope, I will not take dragon money for these dragons. If you're seeking a specific type of necromancer or divergence I'm happy to help you look with in the community for it!

What is a Necromancer?

• Check out the forum thread here

What are all the Variants and Divergences that could show up?

• As of May 2024 Speaking Scars will produce Necromancers, Lichs, Ghasts, Revenants, Wights, Blightling, Ghouls and Lichs, Maniae Necromancers, and All Algea Variants. As more variants and divergences come out this list may update.

What if a lineage dragon qualifies in color but not genes?

• At my discretion these dragons may be gened up and offered. It'll just depend.

You have more than one Guilt and Kundalini. Why didn't you breed the original two?

• I didn't want to. I'm not interested in breeding the actual Kundalini that often (once every few years if that). Guilt has an extensive offspring list already and I want to filter some of him out of the community. The Guilt in this lineage is his granddaughter though so make sure to Assay before trying to breed.

What happens to the hatchlings who are not qualifying?

• They will be exalted. You may occasionally see one in someone's lair. At my discretion non-qualifying dragons may be given away for Necrolockes. All such dragons will eventually be exalted.
