Tourmaline

Tourmaline was a bit of an outcast in the original clan he was from. He was the runt of the litter, lacking the poisonous traits that Auraboas are supposed to have. Because of this, Tourmaline was weaker than the rest of his siblings, causing him to venture out to find a place he belonged.

Though he's in a new clan around new dragons, he still does feel out of place. He mostly sticks around Laika, another Auraboa who he's grown to trust despite her appearance. They've even bonded over their shared struggles of fitting into crowds of their own species, or just other dragons in general. Minus the closeted nature, Tourmaline has natural parental instincts, and looks over the clan's hatchlings. He may not be responsible for fully guarding them, but if a threat was present, he would try his best to defend them despite his own disadvantage.

An odd habit he has is collecting rocks. His den is littered in dried coral and miscellaneous rocks and pebbles he's collected from visiting different Flight territories (His most notable ones being glowing crystals from a cave deep in the caves of an Arcane clan.) Some of these rocks stick to his scales, which illuminate a calming but also ominous glow depending on how they're stared at. It seems to make a great nightlight for any dragonets who don't fear the way it looks, similar to Gwyllion's own glowing abilities.

Despite feeling out of place, Tourmaline holds no disliking towards his siblings, his parents, or even his original Clan and Flight. Most of his feelings were self-inflicted from thinking too hard, but he generally holds a good view on his family members.

A bit cowardly at heart, but he always means well. Tourmaline is always the first to try and talk or reason things out before even attempting to fight a battle he'd feel guilty starting. His caring nature made him a right hand to the Grotto's doctor, Luminous, where he resides as an assistant.

He also seems to have an attachment to butterflies! Occasionally when they're not underground and actually out and about, other dragons say they always have a swarm fluttering above or around them. Tourmaline however doesn't seem to mind this, and even said he would give them all names if he found out how to keep track of who was who.
