SunBeam was a foundling, hatched from a parentless nocturne egg. She stayed with her "native" clan only for a very short time before joining the Lair of the Midday Madness at the invitation of WaterGil. Sunbeam soon found herself changed into a Pearlcatcher by the Lightweaver who was delighted with her loyalty and interest in scholarly pursuits and philosophy.
She spends much of her time with her fellow Pearlcatcher WaterGirl (well... sort of fellow pearlcatcher, Sunbeam cannot get past the feeling that there is something oddly wrong about the way WaterGirl sniffs everybody and everything around her all the time. It reminds her rather too much of DonCarlos and IceBreaker, and it would be seriously terrible if *hush* it turned out that dear WaterGirl was not actually a Pearlcatcher all her life. Of course it's an entirely different thing for Sunbeam to have been born.. uh.. you know.. under the influence of brambles and shadows if you know what I mean.. quite a different thing, indeed). Sunbeam is extremely knowledgeable and spends much of her time reading and learning new things from her fellow Midday Madness Dragons (read: listening in on conversation to gather bargaining chips for her interactions with WaterGirl, GreenMan, and pearlcatchers from neighboring lairs). Personality: Sunbeam considers herself to be the nicest, kindest, most well behaved dragon of BloodStorm's lair (and the rest of Sornieth of course). She makes sure not to talk too much about it though, she wouldn't want to make the other dragon's aware of their (relative) unimportance and (extreme) dullness. After all, being the ambassador of the Lightweaver, she has a reputation and connections to uphold. Abilities: Don't ask her about her abilities... you could fill books with the things Sunbeam knows/can do/has heard off/is capable of/etc . that's what she likes to think anyway |
