Biography

Moonstone


Named for the pearly, adularescent species of feldspar which the ancient Romans believed to be solidified rays of moonlight. Another name for moonstone is hecatolite, referencing the Greek goddess Hecate.

Very kindly hatched for me on a super busy Leap Day by seradis, who also hosted Tanzanite's nest and to whom I am deeply grateful for their help with this project!
