Erasmus is a complex and enigmatic cartographer whose work is both renowned and controversial. With an unmatched talent for mapping uncharted territories, his detailed and accurate maps have been instrumental in numerous expeditions.
His generosity is well-known; he often donates maps and educational resources to other clans. Yet, this generosity comes with strings attached, as Erasmus is also notoriously manipulative. He has been known to sabotage rivals' mapping projects and mislead competitors with false information about critical resources. Although normally taciturn, Erasmus is exceedingly liberal in sharing his knowledge with curious clanmates (even the most directionally challenged ones). When bored, he has a tendency to draw maps of curious and strange lands that do not seem to exist. Erasmus is derived from Greek and means 'beloved' or 'desired'. Ptolemy refers to the Alexandrian astronomer, mathematician, and geographer from the 2nd century CE. |
