Biography
Happy Leap Year!
Because every clan needs to be associated with at least one swamp witch.
Starling is a loner, reclusive by nature, though she has a number of friendly acquaintances in the clan. While not a swamp resident per se, she does dwell in the areas of Wind where trees clump together to form forests.
Starling stays quiet about her past, refusing to answer questions for the reason that nobody else is entitled to her life. She grows herbs in a garden as well as a variety of other plants— for food and for fun, in her words. On those rare occasions when she's feeling sociable, she can be found wandering the plateau near the ground annex of Acantha's clan.
She will cheerfully tell anyone who asks that she's a swamp witch, but in truth she has very little interest in magic or alchemy, and given a quiet day where her traps have caught enough meat that she can rest for a bit, she prefers to curl up with a good book.
When asked why she came to the Windswept Plateau, widely known to be full of friendly, sociable dragons who love to fly, when she is a land-dwelling hermit, she has a variety of answers. The closest she comes to the truth is that she loves the land here: it has a different sort of vitality than the Gladekeeper's gardens and overwhelming growth. It's a quieter sort of nature but no less green for it.
