Biography
Volcanic ash scattered through the wind, dipped into the sea and raised to the clouds
(i should write poetry you guys)
poet, grew up near the great furnace though he hatched in the zephyr steppes. he would often fly over the volcano, or sit on the ground and stare into its dark exterior, swearing that he could see eyes and jagged teeth in the mountainside.
slowly began to speak more in rhymes and riddles as he grew, made fun of by those with nothing better to do. he became more silent over the years, his eyes often unfocused as he went about his standard daily errands. he made his money selling odd maps and diagrams of unreal things in no known language, collected by interested artists, authors, decorators, and linguists. nobody knew much of what he thought, but they would visit his shop for a chance to speak with him as they bought. his rhymes and riddles amused visiting youth, superstitious adults would seek him to find out the truth. rumour was he could see their futures in their eyes, passing along the message hidden in a mysterious guise.
some dragons say that the opal along his sides formed as he stared into space, turning his scales to stone at an ever growing pace. others say he's a child of the volcano itself, secretly gifted with mountains of wealth.
he's said to have joined the Lanti clan for the quiet of the ice, the landscape the opposite of the volcano that stole his eyes. no one is sure how the staring didn't make him go blind, though some wonder if it did, maybe he found his way through the world with no visual guide, weaving a world with his senses intertwined.
now he spends most of his time staring into the Ponder Orb, seeing... anything, nothing, all that he can?
