It began with a simple nightmare — nothing but a promise of the dreadfully beautiful future wrought by the Shade. Finding solace in this darkness as a young, troubled hatchling and recognizing it as her gift, more and more she fell into deep slumber to witness the prophetic machinations bestowed upon her... until the curse of her blood and her dreams became so intertwined that no longer could she separate the two.

Somnia is ever asleep, ever awake, adrift between the real and the imagined. And she has lost her mind in the process. Not every dream is a vision, after all, yet every dream could be. Alas, her ability to differentiate also vanished years ago. The line between a gift and a punishment is certainly thin.

With no way to anchor herself, perhaps one day someone will appear and pull her out from the depths... or perhaps one day there will no longer be a 'Somnia' to exist at all.
