Kada

Kada has never been the best flier. She really, really tries her best, but she can’t quite get it right, no matter how hard she tries. Still, she longs for the sky, she wants to fly. She looks up at the great blue sky longingly and sighs. Her family members all fly with such grace and such ease, and it’s making her feel envious. It’s making her feel lonely. Luckily, her family doesn’t want her to feel left out, and they try to include her as best as they can.

Still, it can never be enough. Kada can never fly with them.

Eventually, Kada gives up, and refuses to go with her family to the cliffs off which they start their flight. Instead, she explores the clan on her own. She explores the gardens, the galleries, the shops… She meets quite a lot of dragons that she has never met before, simply because her family keeps to themselves a lot. She walks through the clan for hours, and the more she discovers, the less she is missing the great blue sky. There’s so much you can do by walking, Kada never knew!

And just like that, her sadness turns into happy days, where Kada is exploring the clan and making friends. Flying is on her mind less and less, and she happily hangs out with the other dragons that stay on the ground. And she’s seeing her family less and less. It’s been a while since she’s even seen that cliff.

Then, her family goes out to fly and Kada goes to visit one of her friends, when suddenly the wind picks up and it starts storming. The blue sky turns a dark cloudy gray, and not before long thunder is heard striking something nearby. Kada hurries to the cliff, despite better judgment, to see if her family is alright.

But they’re nowhere to be seen.
