Flit is a strange and particularly fae Fae, in the sense that her very existence (let alone her behavior) is a little bit of a mystery. The Plague envoy from the Necromancer faction found a single Light egg abandoned in the warm ash of the Wastes. This tiny egg was handed to the Dreadwing clan upon their return, and from there given away again to the self-appointed Light ambassador, Solis.

Solis was far too young to be raising a child, but Flit didn't give him much choice, hatching almost immediately and getting into everything as soon as she could. Even while young, she was very certain in her preferences and desires, which have changed little: she likes greenery, natural stone, flowers, feathers and other small and pretty things. Her little chamber—hardly more than an alcove along the side of Solis's—is filled with hanging garlands of plants lit by gifts from Alabaster, along with small birdhouses (and a single Tendertiel), marbles, pieces of smooth glass, tile, polished beads and other random objects she finds and collects. She tries to pay attention to any lessons offered to her, but in general Flit is more interested in exploration, artistic works, and daydreaming.
