Alchemist of the Barrow Clan, Io spends his days skittering around the woods in search of small birds to kill, herbs to crush, and bones to grind into powder. Io was born of noble blood but a family scandal resulted in his disownment and eventual escape to the faraway Unknown Woods.

His royal upbringing taught him about the chemical and magic properties of different materials, yet the shame and trauma of his past forced him into a nervous wreck. Io can hardly form sensical sentences. He can not stand to see his own face, so he wears the skull of a large bird.

He loves his mate Callisto more than his own life, and will often bring her decorated skulls to wear.
