Biography
Atar is the doranverse god of light and fire. His influence most strongly spans across the sandy dunes of the Lucia continent and the volcanic islands that bubble and blaze upon harsh rocky terrain. Though even beyond such places as those, many mortals even in tropical climates and snowy peaks also favour this god, for who could deny the warmth and hope that a light in the dark may bring?
Though for as warm and welcoming as the light is, Atar himself is not one to show his kindness upfront. He's quiet and observant and guards his emotions tightly. He's the god least likely to ascend those who are worthy of demigodhood, and notorious for having high standards in that regard. He's certainly not throwing his power around like candy as some of the others tend to do. He often doesn't answer prayers unless someone's going way out of their way to get his attention. He doesn't act this way out of arrogance, more so he see's it as a way of filtering out mortals who just want to abuse his attention and power. He very much does not want any power falling into the wrong hands.
Atar is one to value honesty, courage and true strength. He views those who heavily use magic in combat as reliant and weaker, preferring the people who know how to survive without falling back on the convenience of magic. He's also brutally honest and to the point about everything, why beat around the bush, right?
Many may assume him to be uncaring and cold when they meet him, but he's kind and caring at heart and simply chooses tough love and quiet meaningful moments over being overtly fuzzy and cuddly all the time. He's also fiercely loyal to those he cares about, and would defend the ones he loves to his final breath if he had to.
