Biography

Piko found Mr. Clucks' egg while out foraging. She brought it back home, planning on cooking it up for dinner, but before she could it hatched. She instantly fell in love with the tiny chick (who became obsessed with her immediately) and has pampered him with seeds and feather brushings every day since.

Not too many dragons in Sunbeam Sanctuary have animal companions, familiars are much more common. But if they happen to find a little friend that they connect with, no one tends to bat an eye. There are far weirder things going on for anyone to worry about a few pets.

The difference between familiars and companions is pretty straight forward. Familiars are helpful creatures that work along side the dragons. They usually choose eachother and bond very closely. Animal companions are much more like pets, something each dragon likes to coddle and take care of. A much more surface level relationship, though still very full of love.
