Peril (Pearlcatcher) and Corrmnr (alien god) thrown in a blender and irreversibly fused with each other to become Cormex, who's neither the dragon nor the god they used to be.

Many aeons ago, when Corrmnr broke free of the shade's influence and corruption, its first thoughts were of revenge. The shade had taken its planet, its worshipers, and to its great shame even itself, and corrupted all of them. It had taken long for Corrmnr to find itself again, to focus its energy and regain its sentience. When it finally did, it was enraged to find itself unable to face the shade right away, being still too weakened to even stand a chance against it.
Powerless, it watched the shade torment this planet they'd found themselves on. For centuries, it thought that the shade would grow bored any day and kill all its inhabitants, like it had done to Corrmnr's world, but for centuries it simply continued to taunt its inhabitants, spreading fear and hatred, and sparking a handful of unsuccessful retaliation attempts - the last of which Corrmnr ignited personally, though to its great shame it found itself unable to actually harm the shade.
