Biography

Pandora
They/them

I'm stuck here over my own foolish mistakes.

Pandora was Plague-born, but traveled to the Viridian Labyrinth based on the flights' long-running armistice.

As they made a home for themselves there, they became well-versed and connected to nature in their own way. They became a venturer of the wasteland-like areas of the wilderness - hence the outfit - and found themselves within it. For their efforts, they were blessed with a sigil of Nature magic: the Druidic Emblem.

That blessing planted the seed of rot in their body. Cracks like concrete broken into by plants; patches of dirt-like textures on their skin; a burning itch crawling across them, like they just rubbed against a bush. Their body couldn't handle so much concentrated magic, but they did everything they could to counteract its effects.

They wanted to stay here, didn't they? They liked it here - the people, the environment, this new life...

...Or did they..?

When the armistice between the two flights broke, they snapped under the weight. Liefa's betrayal gave them an epiphany: why did they ever do this? Why did they choose to live amongst traitors? What... did they let happen to themselves?

Now, they're working for a set of Plague rebels, even as a constant bombardment of Nature magic rots their body.

They're stuck here with those who they should've known were traitors all along. They will make up for their mistakes; they will survive this foolish ordeal; and most importantly, get out of this hell.

I'm stuck here over my own foolish mistakes.

I should've known it all along; of course they're still out to get us. What made me think they had some kind of change of heart? Just because they couldn't touch a seed for some years? I could do that, too.

I'm doing it now. I'm stuck living in their nightmare made just for me, full of pricking ferns and grass, with sickly green all around... That horrible glow of life, clawing out at me... I'd never stoop so low to their level. To their level of.. rejection of their true world around them...

...So why did I?

Lives: Viridian Labyrinth - Lair description
39.png
Tachinid Fly

Name: They're named after Pandora's box.

Affiliations: Nature Plague

Likes: Thrills; discovery; bugs; colonies; keeping their skin covered; their wings; destruction; those who prove themselves with their actions

Watching infestations overtake and destroy homes or landscapes is oddly beautiful to them. They love looking at patterns and lairs the bugs create - and, of course, the irony of it all: nature destroys itself. If they ever plan some kind of attack, they'd like to use infestations to do so.

Dislikes: Clean, pristine surfaces; dragons that pry or talk too much; too much light; Nature and pretty much everything about it

Personality: Pandora is headstrong but still kind to others, especially beneath their confident exterior. They try to solve things themselves and come up with their own ideas, rather than rely on others too much.

Really, they just worry that they're being a pushover. Once you get to know them, you'll see that they like to discuss or help with just about anything. They also like giving gifts, often found in dangerous places during their thrill-seeking adventures.

Since they've betrayed the Nature flight, however, they've become paranoid. They talk less and spend more time alone, whether it be exploring, writing, or treating their decay. To make up for it, they've given out more gifts. If you even speak to them they might just hand you one. Their other hobbies have been neglected out of fear, though, leaving their neighbors concerned.
