The Lunae

The goddess Lunuus has donned many faces, carried many names, and lived many lifetimes.

It is said that she reincarnates according to the movement of the stars, going through the phases of life in a celestial cycle only she can divine. Every cycle, her incarnation, the Lunae, is born without any of the previous incarnations' memories, and is cast out into the world, to return upon its death bearing new knowledge.

Regardless, every Lunae is divinely blessed with magic and foresight beyond a typical dragon's ability, but their suggestible, naive nature has caused disasters in past history.

The people of Lunuus Jin worship her as a god of longevity and wisdom, and actively seek out her incarnations. Some seek her for guidance, and some seek her divinity. The ruling Jin family has brought the current Lunae into their fold, ostensibly to protect him from those who would do him harm.
