She arrived helpless, at the mercy of the Dreadwing, blinded by the toxic fumes of the Fumaroles and near death. The Dreadwing rescued her, allowing her to remain in one of the outer dens. Despite Leviathan's fear that they would eventually eject her, they have largely ignored and tolerated her presence, leaving her in peace. It is irony that one of the most seemingly dangerous among them—the plague-beast Noxis—is the one to most often offer boisterous company and fresh-caught food. The two are now close friends, with Noxis's hyper-energetic nature calmer in this dragon's presence. She has also made friends with others of the den, and feels oddly comfortable in these dry, warm passages, feeling no need to rush away.

It is also ironic that the blinded Undertide is a seer. Though the tides have been silent, and her element not her ancestral waters regardless, Leviathan spends a great deal of time lost in trance-like thought. Sometimes, visions that she believes to be glimpses of the future come to her dreaming mind. More often, she is coiled, quietly resting, alone in the dark of an outer den.
