Biography
Vireo Protector of Nature she/her bisexual cis woman Voice Claim - Theme Music- Bathroom Plants: Installing Symbiotopia 2.0.1 |
Vireo was born as a Prismatic Survivalist, with a sleek white and pale green plumage. She decided to venture out on her own shortly after her adult coloration came in. Taking up archery as her kind was known to do, she carved out an existence for herself traveling from woodland to woodland and acting as a sort of guardian of the local ecosystem. When she sees others disrupting the balance of nature in any way, she becomes incredibly irritated and works to prevent or undo any damage caused. Her ferociousness when protecting the natural world is a bit surprising to see from a dragon who’s normally even tempered and thoughtful, but it speaks to her passion above all things. Eventually, her travels brought her to meet her mate Lustre , and the pair came across a group of nomads calling themselves The Vibrance. Vireo decided to start traveling with the group as opposed to continuing her crusade alone, and the group even bore witness to her and Lustre’s official union. Vireo hasn’t given up her fight for nature, for the plants and animals of Sornieth, and she journeys across the world with her companions fighting for what she believes in. |

Wildclaw White-White-Any Basic-Basic-Thylacine |
Prismatic Survivalists are an adaptive kind of wildclaw that retain a limited ability to be influenced by ambient magic after hatching. They are pure white upon hatching, but shortly after stripes begin to appear on their wings and back, reflecting the environment that they're currently in. By traveling to different biomes and climates, they can expose themselves to different energies and this, in turn, changes the colours of the stripes. As hatchlings the stripes are very sensitive and often shift colours even while staying in the same place, but as the dragon matures this adaptive effect weakens, so fledglings must be exposed to drastically different climates to get such a dramatic shift. Eventually, after the dragon becomes an adult, their stripes settle into one colour and no longer change. This adaptive effect is more than just aesthetic. While they still remain only one element, and can only wield one kind of magic, they become specially attuned to their chosen environment, being specifically adapted to survive in it. While the stripes serve no special purpose, they are useful in identifying what environment the wildclaw is adapted for. Green range: Forests and jungles (Viridian Labyrinth, Tangled Wood) Dense forests require agility to properly fly through, so these wildclaws have short but broad wings to make sharp turns and avoid knocking into branches. They have long toes suitable for grasping to climb trees, and their tails are semi-prehensile to keep balanced while in the canopy. In addition, their wings have a pair of claws coming from the carpus that can be used to climb, and they alternate between climbing and bursts of flying to cover large distances even in dense growth. |
