There spreads a tale amongst shore dwelling and deep-sea dwelling dragons alike, of an Oracle with no name. An oracle said to be the purest form of water magic, for they speak in currents and waves, and their body ripples and sways. Many believe the Oracle to be an incarnation of the Tide Lord 's very will itself, something he left behind before vanishing for so many years... Others think that the Oracle is the mouthpiece for the Ocean itself, or, simply, a hoax. A bedtime story for hatchlings to make them eager to practice their magical abilities and someday reach the level of magistery ad the Oracle.

The Oracle is all that, none of that, and more, and less. They're an enigma, lurking beneath the cold waves of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, seldom breaking the surface for any reason save for, perhaps, observing a storm to use in their rituals. Many dragons have claimed to see the Oracle, a glimmer of pristine gold flashing in the sunlight for a split second before vanishing behind a forest of kelp, or an ominously glowing orb of violet and azure hues shimmering into thin air like morning mist... Braver hatchlings (even adults) swim as far down as they can, in hopes of maybe, just maybe, meeting the fabled Oracle and asking them for a favor. It is said that the Oracle will grant anyone one "wish"- but the tales vary on that one. The Elders claim it's just fancy talk for "I'll read your fortune for free".
