A sun-kissed angel with honey eyes, iridescent scales, and fur as soft as featherdown, born of both heaven and earth. Saint Nephele is a living weapon created for the Light by her servants. A piece of the Lightweaver's essence was placed into a dragon vessel shortly after hatching. Members of the clergy used all of their power to endow the child with her grace.
Nephele was then raised by the church to harness her overwhelming and destructive magic. If left unchecked, it could consume her and everything in her path. The Lightweaver's magic is a white hot fire meant to snuff out darkness, and it is difficult to contain even a fraction of that in one being.
She is both beloved and feared by the kingdom, for among the angels she is closest to the Light and mortals alike. She acts as a messenger for the Light to her people. Her existence is unique to her, and she is considered a blessing of holy magic.
This blessing comes at a cost, of course. Nephele was chosen as a newborn for a higher purpose. As proud as her parents were, they were no longer a part of her life. Raised not in a warm home with a loving family, but rather by the faithful of Lady Light's church. Surrounded by tall white marble walls, it sometimes felt like a cage.
She was sheltered from the world, and yet was expected to defend it with all of her might. She was a radiant light for her people, and yet she felt so hollow inside. She was treated with the highest honor for her sacrifices, but from a young age Nephele knew, she never had a choice.
Despite her inner turmoil, Nephele must never let her emotions get to her. Never can she allow herself to feel overwhelming joy, or deep sadness, for these feelings can cause her to lose control. She simply holds her regal head high, and walks with a graceful step. Her eyes remaining soft and warm.
