Copernicus

Long ago, there was a clan of dragons who lived in the deepest depths of the ocean. Within the bones of a massive beast, cradled around a region of smoky hydrothermal vents, they issued forth their prophecies.

Their prophecies were rare, and all had one thing in common: they spoke of terrible things. For this reason, their clan was feared, regarded with suspicion and mistrust. For their arrival could only mean they had come to announce their omens.

Their last prophecy heralded the Tidelord’s disappearance. After this, the clan themself went missing.

Many years passed, and the clan was presumed lost. But scattered members of the clan lived on, and over time, they came together in the sheltered caves of a reef to raise the next generation.

This dragon is a descendant of that lost clan. In their blood is carried the memories of the great leviathans, the great storms that tore along the coast, and the spiraling magic of a missing deity. If they should end up in your clan, take good care of them.
