H o o d e d R o b i n

A tranquil but decisive monk-warrior

Once other dragons get past the ‘mold growth’ on her ‘foliage’ and the green multi-gaze eyes like ‘knotholes’ on her ‘trunk’, they notice her demeanor is so calming that any irritants or problems seem like they’ll all be okay.

Her other side is that she can’t abide anyone making life harder for others, especially on purpose, and particularly the environment.

“Excuse me. If you fish that many now, without giving them a chance to repopulate, next year there will be only half as many producing… We NEED to keep as many producers as possible and only collect from the excess.”

“Curse yourself, get lost!”

She would smile in a humorless baring of teeth, then without a single further warning or warmup break the poacher’s legs… as few as two and as many as three. “Now you will not deplete them either way.”

She would then splint the offender and even feed them while mending, while making them use the one or two good limbs to plant or dig a better habitat for the remaining spawners and fingerlings. It would be rare if anyone selfish would learn from the experience while mending both the ecosystem AND themselves, but stranger things had happened. Who knows, maybe one day someone she caught would even become a righteous partner.
