Biography
Chosen Mate: None
Good Point: Welcoming
Bad Point: Bone Hoarder
Role: Necromancer
Necromantic Symbol(s): Bones, Sigil
General Job: An oracle whose predictions and readings aid in decisions during each migration. Mayu's predictions, readings, and interpretations of Plaguebringer's will are frequently used as information to assist the duo of Yomi Tenko kitsune, Tsuchinoko and Fushoku, in advising the clan leader of what actions to take.
Society Affiliation: Plague-Watchers (Leader)
She'd passed her trials, and left her clan of origin... but finding a new one wasn't quite as easy a task as she had thought at first.
Many days passed. Food in the wasteland was scarce at this time of year. But it wouldn't deter her. The necromancer would press on. The days turned into weeks, and rations grew short. By the third, Mayu's supplies had run dry. But a sign from Mother - the scorpion that would eventually become her familiar - led her to a clan.
Woodblight.
The arachnid had originated from the temporary territory they occupied, and scurried closer to the dragons. Mayu followed, her own approach met with that of a pair of Gaolers who guarded the outside.
Large and imposing though they were, they were familiar with the tales of the Necromancers that they'd heard from the other wanderers the nomadic clan had passed by. They were aware what they were looking at and, after a bout of questioning, agreed to allow the mirror into the clan's grounds to speak with the leader.
Mirror met mirror, and Mayu received a friendly welcome from the clan head, Lyra. For as bubbly and air-headed as she could be, the behavior didn't completely hide the combat experience she had. A clan that survived so long, despite being led by someone such as Lyra... perhaps it could truly thrive with her assistance. And so, Mayu made an offer. She would join Woodblight as its shaman, lending her powers to them as a means to help provide them insight and guidance.
The offer was quickly accepted.
Mayu's reception of newcomers to the clan is generally rather warm, with few exceptions. Even outsiders who visit and choose to seek her out will find a gentle smile upon her face as she greets them kindly.
Despite this, she tends to reside on the fringes of the clan's territory most days, keeping to herself and interacting with few other dragons. Those that visit her in their times of need will find she has a calm air about her, as she is more than happy to use her abilities to help give her clanmates guidance, reassurance, and the information on what's to come that will allow them to succeed.
Tsuchinoko and Fushoku tend to be the ones she associates with most, the duo understanding the importance of her role more than most - and Mayu herself being able to understand their rather cryptic natures. Steak, the lone skinless dragon, happily acts as an assistant for Mayu whenever she comes from the fringes further into the grounds the clan occupies. She doesn't interact much at all with the odd being, but she is very fascinated by Ichor's consistent mutations and sometimes can be found observing the not-quite-dragon as if she'll get an answer to what's going on.
Revenant seems to watch her closely with both heads due to her habit of hoarding bones of all sorts. His concerns of her taking from the clan's deceased are pointless, however - it's the bone artisan banescales of the clan that should be more concerned.
