Food and the cooking of it is such an overlooked job, in her opinion. She started learning about it as a young adult, and it's been enough of a fascination that she quite happily took up the job of making proper meals for the entire clan. There's just something about bringing such different edible elements together in perfect (or almost perfect) harmony, in being able to take the absolute freshest ingredients and creating something even better out of them, in being able to look at the delighted looks on her clanmates' faces as they eat and recognize that it was all because of her skill!

...Okay, so she can be a little conceited about it sometimes. She'll admit it. But she'll gladly allow herself that, now that she's fully settled into the role of clan cook! There's nothing to be gained by downplaying the talent she does have, and she isn't going to shortchange herself on feeling good about what she does. Where's the fun in that?

And she does enjoy having fun, to an extent that concerns some of the more traditionally-minded clan members. But to her, they're just squares who don't know how to live a little every so often, though it doesn't stop her from trying to encourage them to relax and just go with it for once, with varying degrees of success. But everyone not being quite so uptight might benefit them all, to be honest...

However, she does have one exception to that party-happy philosophy: her kitchen. Do not mess with her kitchen or any of the food in it. That is very serious business, and she won't tolerate having someone else's paws all over it if they don't know what they're doing!
