As the dragon ages the infection will continue to necrotize flesh until there is a gaping hole at the site. Muscle and bone tissue does not appear to be affected in plague dragons, and they show these never-healing wounds with pride. Some attend to the infection, in attempts to make it yet larger. Dragons not born of the flight suffer worse effects as their bodies are unused to weathering illness; they are often seen with bandages covering multiple small bores that ooze prolifically, sometimes even blinding the dragon in the process.
