Mooncatcher

Named so because as a hatchling holding his pearl, his father thought it looked as if he had the moon in his talons. He has become a scholar like his father and has taken up astronomy.

One night the clan was holding one of it's semi-annual Tundra Gatherings (Semi because they often forget if it has been held yet that year so they hold another one) and Mooncatcher was feeling lonely. He was still a hatchling and has spent most of his time up until now with his brother and sister and didn't know what to do without them. Speckle noticed that his son was feeling left out so he gathered up a telescope and some star charts and took Mooncatcher up to the top of a hill to look at the stars. That night, while staring up at the night sky, Mooncatcher realized his love of astronomy.
