Hecate

Hatched from a lost egg in the Starfell Isles, Hecate was raised by a tight circle of scholarly Fae who ran a school and makeshift orphanage. She grew to be sharp, kind, and curious- but it was something of a miracle she grew to begin with. The scholars at the orphanage knew the stench of necromancy far too well; it was not difficult to tell her new life came from undead dragons.

Hecate's body was hungry for magic. The isles themselves kept her blood from running still. Unlike the curious dreamers around her, her nights were cold and silent. Her sluggishness confused her, her brittle body frightened her, and her peers had endless questions too.

"Are you lost?" "Wait. Are you contagious?" "I've never seen something like this from outside the Wasteland!"

Others never spoke to her at all.
