    _____________________
  • She left the Comfort Zone, still feeling timid, but the members of the clan put her at ease and agreed to let her stay in the bamboo forest whenever she needed to, without needing to contribute anything to the clan in particular.
    _____________________
  • She is finding her favorite things to do, she loves to share history and stories about ancient times with young dragon or anyone else.
    _____________________
  • Everyone is new to her traditional style of dress, and Hummingbird is delighted and eager to introduce the outfits, but sometimes feels overwhelmed by the amount of compliments she receives.

Collecting

Bone-headed cowbird - A carrion feeder that follows predators, the need to follow roving packs of mirrors has the parents of this species leaving their eggs in other birds' nests.Spotting towhee - Extra eyes can not only spot food hidden in writhing detritus, but will also keep a lookout for predators!Web-winged blackbird - Males are often found near fetid wetlands, flashing their membranous epaulettes.Aberrant robin - To aid in wyrm-hunting, mutation and evolution has gifted them extra eyes! And legs. And teeth... and mouths....?

1JBL97z.pngDown woodpecker - Commonly mistaken for the Hoary Woodpecker, it can be distinguished from them by its smaller size and greater adorable-ness.Crag crossbill - Tough, crossed bills are the perfect tools for prying open the frozen pinecones found on Cloudscrape Crag.Hoarfrost

Chipped sparrow - Widespread in Dragonhome, crack open this common seed-cracker and you could just collect rocky reward! (Please don't.)Browned thrasher wrote - Commonly seen digging, its plumage is said to bear messages it dug up from the past... or maybe that's just more mud.Patinated bunting - It's metallic feathers only grows more colorful and shiny with age!Gambler's quail - Greatly prized by game and treasure hunters for the riches inlaid in its feathers.

Candle Waxwing - The copious amount of fruit it consumes gives it a delightfully fruity scent.Forge swift - In the Ashfall Waste they easily outcompete their less flame-retardant cousins, being able to withstand billowing forge vents for roosting and nesting.Eastern blue-firebird - A brilliant sight to behold, if you don't mind the potential third-degree burns.Phoenix-tailed flycatcher - Though not a true firebird, what it lacks in literal firepower it makes up for with tenfold the temper.

Stellar hippojay - The patterns on its fur shifts with its location, making regional identification easy.Crystal-crowned kinglet - Excitement will trigger the sudden growth of crystals on its head, which break off and fall as it calms.Starwood Thrush - To a birder, the most valuable treasure one can find in the Starwood Strand, more than any inspiration or wisdom, is the chance to hear this elusive bird's sweet song.Starry starling - In the winter the stars in its black plumage shine brighter, while the summer months bring glorious nebulas.

Morning dove - Named for both its color, and for how it wakes up dragons way too early in the morning.Mirrorlight meadowlark - If you're walking through the Promenade and hear birdsong, look to nearby pillars for this guy.Lightland longspur - Technically a native of the Tangled Wood, it heads towards brighter lands for the breeding season.Beacon flicker - Light dragons lost at night may be startled by a rainbow flash bursting from the ground, by they can also count on this bird to lead them home.

Poker cardinal - Always seen in a pair.Cheshire catbird - Only the cat half can disappear, but both halves will tell you cryptic nonsense.Wispwillow mockingbird - If you think you hear your friend's voice coming from deeper in the forest - no you don't.Thornfell shrike - This particular species of shrike cuts out the middle steps by simply luring its prey to the brambles.

Ivy creeper - The roots beneath its leafy tail cover serves as support while climbing trees.Rubus hummingbird - Not as sweet as real bramble berries, but they are as prickly.Orchid oriole - Might pollinate your exotic flowers. Might also eat them.Rose-bellied

Sargasso sandpiper - In the breeding season it gains hollow air bladders, causing it to bob along the force of the tides.Shellback sanderling - The shells from its food gets recycled into the shell on its back.Coral killdeer - The name comes from its call, not its apperance (or its surprising tendency to show up on lawns).Runey

Red-handed nuthatch - With its habit of Wire wren - Native to the harrowing canyons of the Shifting Expanse, this crafty bird has rapidly adapted to enroaching machinery.Spark siskin - Whether their irruptive migrations are the cause or effect of unseasonal thunderstorms is a matter of furious academic debate.Goldensparcfinch

Bamboo chickadee - Can commonly be seen bouncing in the branches of bamboo forests.Cloudtufted titmouse - With the acrobatic way it hops and hangs off branches, it's like it weights nothing at all!Millmeadow martin - These birds have formed a centuries long mutualistic relationship with Millmeadow farmers, who offer gourd nests in exchange for free pest control.Cloudsong

"Hummingbird is super pretty, I love how well you tied in her tert color with the grove sylvan pieces! You do a really great job of creating a balance of colors with your dragons! The familiars name also caught me off guard and gave me a little chuckle! I also don't see tomes used very often, so props to you for that!" (From Top 5 Above You - Write More Edition)

"Both dragons on this page are just so good, but I had to choose Hummingbird in the end. I love yellows and greens together, and her eyes perfectly match the sylvan dress." (Pick A Favourite From Each Page!)

After I came up with a complete costume for Hummingbird, I realized a horrible fact...
if I followed through on this idea, my wallet would probably hate me. Badly!

I bought the most expensive stuff, now I just have to wait for the smaller decorations to pop up in the market!

I got it! Done! A very desirable dragon.

Windsong Lore
Created by @paintminion

Fc9rLvs.png

When the first Windsong dragons were born in the world, some, especially those born in Wind Flight, were revered as the essence of Windsinger himself. Others born in other Flights lairs were often teased and bullied by those who did not appreciate such an obvious indication of a deity outside their Flight.

These days it is recognized that Deity dragons are very special, no matter what Deity they represent. It is an honor to be so close to the Gods of Sorneith, such as Windsinger. Any lair that has a Windsong dragon (born in Wind Flight), or Skysong dragon (born outside Wind Flight), is blessed by the Windsinger himself and considered very good luck!

A Windsong dragon is usually blessed with a beautiful voice, a love of travel, enjoys listening to those that have journeyed to other lands, and fond of flying and playing with the winds.

A Skysong dragon is the same, though they may have more interest tendencies towards aspects of their Flight of birth.
