B I O G R A P H Y -

» Coronated amidst what could have well been a civil war, Amelia is a ruthless queen with rapier wit and all the cunning of a master tactician. It was only these skills and a ruthless ambition that prevented a revolt, though her talents were not honed by royal tutors for leadership, the skills she learned as a courtesans apprentice have served her well in a court of vipers who all know her lowly origins.

Born to a courtesan of the Tea House amidst no small scandal, Amelia spent her earliest years learning the fine arts of entertaining. From batting her eyelashes, to how to spot the small details that marked a man of wealth to one simply pretending. She learned from the seasoned courtesans how to make nobles confess to secrets that would end their fortunes, and from strict mistresses she learned how to never leave evidence of wrong doing.

By the time she was an adult and ready to put these skills to work, the noble houses had been growing more and more agitated. The queen, dead some years prior, had left no heir, and now the king in what was rumored to be failing health had the wolves upon him. Every noble faction within the city suddenly began to research their own claims and ties to the thrown, the mightiest of which squabbling over who would be placed there upon the king's death.
But, in an coup to his rivals, the king called upon Amelia, the last true blood heir to the line and named her the legitimate heir to the throne. Suddenly thrust in to the political spotlight, Amelia fought and savaged her way to the top, and upon her fathers death, was seated on the throne. Half the noble houses bound to her with contracts that read like a Courtesan's, the contracts of the Tea House setting the frame work for sealing their alliance.

However, despite her skill as leader, ushering in a time of prosperity and growth to the ancient city of Whispmore, Amelia is now in the same bind that plagues her entire line.
Left without heir, and no serious suitors, the nobles once again are beginning to eye the throne as many now sense a weakness the queen did not have before.

A queen of the shadows, Amelia is willing to do anything to keep the secret she and her childhood best friend, Lady Veilmore share, even if she must hire Thorne to keep that secret.
