The key to Jirair's personality is joy and motivation. He's the one pushing everyone along and helping them. You see, trials in life are like exercising. If you learn to push yourself to enjoy the pain (seeing the trial as a positive and meeting it with joyful fervor), you will come out of the problem as a stronger and better-developed person. The attacks of evil spiritual forces can be felt in all areas of life. If left uncontrolled, they drive you to the brink of the worst emotions and decisions, making you fear and suffer everywhere possible. If you try to solve your problems yourself, the strain often just gets worse. But if you turn to God in your struggles, He gives you strength and support. He tells you not to fear, because since He is on your side, He is more powerful than all evil forces. The overwhelming results of His presence in your heart-- love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, self-control-- mean you can face life with a beneficial change of heart and perspective.
