Biography
'Rein' knew that his twin was more handsome than he was. He was charming without a word, elegant in every movement, and turned heads whenever he entered a new lair. Hardly anyone noticed the smaller imperial, leaning into his brother's side, whispering in his ear. Every time they ignored him, left him standing against the wall, Reeve would leave.
"It's fine if they don't want us both. We're different, after all, we might find we don't even want the same lair, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have the choice", he would say. "I won't leave until you know what you're doing."
Rein loved his brother. He supported him and hoped for him and desperately wanted to see him, above all else, happy, wherever he chose to settle, but whenever Reeve carelessly batted them all aside, he couldn't help the surge of anger rising in his belly.
"What makes you sure I want to join another clan? Perhaps I'll give myself to the Tidelord instead. Eh? Have you thought of that?"
And Reeve would look so hurt.
So Rein decided, heavy hearted, that he would have to start drawing attention to himself. He would flirt, would smile, would push his way forwards into the room. He would make people notice him, so that his brother would stop. So that Reeve would finally, finally start thinking about his own future.
And if all else failed, well, Adhara said the Tidelord was always welcoming.
