Biography
Gyromitra, the Egg Thief
There's fortunes to be made
There's fortunes to be made
|
Gyromitra was born with a very special talent that many found unsavory. He was able to pawn off everything he came across as a grand treasure, and sweet talk his way to the finest price. Naturally shady from birth, it was only a matter of time before this smooth-talking fellow found his way to clan Enyo, where he was pleased to see that his talents were not looked down upon. It was here that he concocted his most elaborate scam yet. It's well known among Soreinth that unhatched eggs found in beast clans or while scavenging are created from pure energy of the deities themselves. They were small, powerful dragons with no markings and no bloodline to speak of; they could be mated to anyone without worry of malformed hatchlings and nearly all clans across the planet desired these hatchlings for their own. The unhatched eggs fetched a pretty penny on the market, and it was only natural that Gyromitra would begin participating in this lucrative market. Of course, the clever spiral had something better in mind than scavenging for days on end in hopes of finding a single egg. He begin stealing eggs. It wasn't something that would go entirely noticed; often times dragon nests would lose an egg or two to wild beast clan who snuck into the unsuspecting lair. And just like those beasts, the spiral would steal away the unmindful parents children, and market them as the coveted eggs of the Gods. It was shady without a doubt, but the spiral cared not about malformed babies or naive parents, and especially not about the trusting clans that forked out loads of treasure all for him. His hoard was precious, and if dragons would fill it by buying his wares, then what care did he have what lied in store for the stolen children. |
From each expensive little shell~
Quote:
Gyromitra approaches the entrance of your lair, walking in as if it were his very own home. He greets the dragons with a friendly smile, looking around until he sets his eyes on Lilith, who has appeared to meet some criteria that the odd spiral had set.
He offers his tail tip in greeting, an equally strange thing, and the skydancer hesitates before touching her own tail to it. He chuckles and lets out a soft whistle. From where he came from, a strange parade of all sort of tamed Beasts emerge, though most of them are ocean-life and awkardly flop or cling to the centaur accompanying them.
"I offer you a present, my lady," he gestures towards the familiars. "May our clans have bountiful trade between them~ I hope you'll accept my kind gesture."
Somehow, this seems like some sort of contract, but the familiars are part of the Cartico Valley now.
