Kazue

Kazue Stormlock, an egg abandoned and taken in by an unveiled swarm of Veilspun within the dunes of the Shifting Expanse and raised as one of their own. Life was simple enough, learning the customary dances and doing her best to keep in tune with the swarm whilst they survived the capricious desert, until their home was desecrated by the mana generators, paving over the pristine landscape and sapping the earth dry of its magic. As a modern dragon, most key being a hard-to-read Fae, able to better blend in with the outside world and not disclose the lair of her kin, Kazue was assigned to investigate the heart of the matter, traveling from her birthplace to the Turrets of Goldensparc and learning firsthand of the demolition of the Lightning Flight's own hallowed sanctum. Kazue now travels further across Sornieth to gather as much information as possible in regards to the effects of these mana generators, what can be done to stop them and rebuild the Stormcatch Sanctum, and what alternatives can be proposed to the Lightning flight. The Morning Roses serve as an adequate stop, as they have had a complicated history with the specific Lightning clans who demolished the Stormcatch Sanctum and have plenty of information and even potential allies to pick up, as well as Veilspun to reconnect with and resources aplenty to restock on.
Kazue is quiet and withdrawn, blunt, headstrong, and to the point and sometimes hard to get along with, but always willing to jump in and help when applicable. She is admittedly intensely lonely without her swarm and is very distrusting towards strangers, but keeps as strong a face as she can and cherishes her companionship with her elk, Wanderer. She is an expert rider, speaking of her elk, and the two make an excellent team when confronted with a foe whether their strategy is fight or flight. Kazue wasn't merely sent off with Wanderer, however, and was also given a raven named Nim, who she's trained to both scout the area for her, gathering potentially important items, as well as talk (granted, Nim's vocabulary is limited to mostly "Hello" and "Good bird"). She also takes her swarm's dances very seriously, and even if it lacks the same magical power, she still practices them daily.
