Biography

Eos
Life from the Void
Stardust Sap Lamp

It was the week of Trickmurk Circus, and some rowdy dragons were setting off magic fireworks. There also happened to be a meteor shower going on. "Hey-hey guys, what if we hit one of those sky rocks?" one of the dragons suggested to his friends.
"Dude, that would be epic! Do it! Do it! Do it!" the group started chanting.
Somehow through his blurry vision, one of the fireworks managed to hit a meteor dead-on. They all started cracking up and giving each other high fives, then one of them noticed a purple explosion in the sky. Then they all watched as something burning fell to the ground.
"Uhh... let's get out of here!" The dragons scrambled back to their lair, hoping they didn't just kill a dragon.

They didn't kill a dragon-they created one. The magic from that firework transformed the meteor into a massive black and purple Imperial.

Eos doesn't exactly remember how she came to be. She always hears others talking about their hatchling days. Deep down, she wished she hadn't missed that part of life. For some odd reason, Eos was from the Shifting Expanse, yet her element was Shadow. If she ever got to meet a deity, she couldn't imagine asking any other question besides, "How did I get here?"

Being different has its perks, though. As one of the Phases, Eos has been allowed to use her power of darkness, or of Shadow, rather. She likes to think of herself as balance to Solaris' power, fire. Solaris and Lumena have helped Eos grow her power to enormous strength. Once, during a clan war, she covered half of the Shifting Expanse in darkness for five days. No one anticipated that. Even Solaris' light was dimmed.

Eos happily got along with every dragon in the clan for a long time. She was naturally optimistic. However, that all changed when Luminita stepped down from her role as one of the clan leaders. Luminita chose June, a condescending and legalistic skydancer, to replace her as both a clan leader and Light representative. Light and Shadow typically do not get along. It's not only their magical abilities that clash, but their personalities as well. Shadow dragons are looked down by many Lights because they have the reputation of being tricksters and troublemakers. Light dragons are viewed as scholarly-above such nonsense.

To be fair, June did try to be kind to Eos originally. But once she learned of her true abilities, June wanted her gone. Eos refused to leave her friends and her home, while June and some of the other leaders thought it would be best if this "unpredictable" imperial moved on. The debate lasted quite a while. Rumor has it that one night, Eos and June actually fought. There is no proof, other than a field a ways away from the lair found scorched with sunlight and covered in shadow without a source.
Later, Solaris got involved, and even June was too intimidated to disagree.
"I wanted to let you resolve this on your own, June, and in favor of Eos. Apparently, you are incapable of resolving a conflict," growled Solaris angrily, her mane starting to give off cinders. "This has gotten out of far out of hand. I will not allow you to remove one of the Phases from this clan. You have no idea what power lies in our hands, what catastrophe sending Eos away would bring. This is the end of this discussion. Believe me, it is in your best interest to drop the subject now." With that, June shakily nodded her head at the burning imperial and sent word to the clan leaders that she had finally come to a decision.

When Eos heard what Solaris did, she was very grateful. Sometimes, she doesn't understand why the Solaris cares about her so much. Is it only because of her magical power? Could Solaris possibly care for her more than just as a friend? Eos thinks about that a lot, but never really believes it. "No, surely she only loves me in a motherly way," she thinks as she blushes to herself.

Eos is proud of her abilities, but the clan is worried it might go to her head. And who could defeat a force of Shadow?

OK, so bear with me. I know there isn't much apparel going on her, but I have to say I love the accent here. It looks *very* spacey and the gembond gives the illusion of meteors floating around the moon. Then the dust trail from the guide adds to the entire effect. Absolutely gorgeous!

Send to ImDucked if you no longer want her.
