Biography
Ariel arch-seraphim lady of light 𖤓 |
Of the twelve Empyrean Lords, the one who spoke most often to the populace of Ancient Atreia was Lady Ariel. Described by all accounts to be as compassionate as she was beautiful, her presence provided the people a true sense of safety and comfort while the war raged on outside the Aetheric Field. After one thousand years of endless battles, Ariel stood as Israphel's chief supporter when he called for peace with the Balaur. But although Nezekan, Yustiel, Vaizel, and Kaisinel were in agreement, the proposal would not go unopposed. Ariel condemned the remaining Lords for their lust for war and glory, but it was only Lady Siel's vote for peace that brought the debate to an end- for none could deny the authority of Israphel and Siel acting in concert as Tower Guardians. Rejoicing, Ariel led her faithful in a song of praise and thanks unto Aion. For the first time in centuries, she felt there was hope. But like so many times before, this hope would not last. To defend what remained of the Tower of Eternity, Ariel and her followers went to the lower hemisphere of Atreia. And although her leadership in this sun-blessed land allowed the Elyos to flourish, she harbours deep disappointment and regret that Azphel's ignorance and recklessness led to the failure of the peace accord. |
