Calkin took up their vocation to help people cope with the changing times, receiving their education and licensing from the mindfulness masters of the Windswept Plateau. They specialize in post traumatic stress and recovery - but Calkin has been sought after for all sorts of counseling help since returning to the Sunbeam Ruins. Employing a unique combination of Wind and Light methodologies, their style is gentle but firm, speaking truth and guidance but never forcing healing upon those who don’t wish to be healed. Many of their patients have been displaced by Luminax in the Emperor’s Wake, and the subsequent fear of imperials has brought some unexpected difficulties to their calling.

Contracted by Clan Sunsharp to administer mental health care and training, Calkin sees the clan on a quarterly basis to handle any growing psychological trends. They address everything from workplace stress to violent ideations, privy to the psychological side effects of the clan’s relentless pursuit of excellence. While they try their best, there’s only so much they can do to help on such a sparse timeframe. Every time they visit, they strongly suggest hiring a live-in therapist, believing that more consistent, long-term attention is needed for several cases amongst their ranks.
