Biography
"I am the journey. I am the destination. I am the whole, the tale that reads you. A way to chase the night. The elusive high. Follow the madness, Alice you know once did!"
A Veiled One, who, slighted by the words of a ghastly Light Fae who defiled her swarm's territory and had the gall to deny their existence, has come to teach the children of the sun once more to fear the night, however, when the time came for the radiance of such dragons to be consumed by darkness, let us say...her weakness had been pinpointed in the form of generous monetary offerings. Now, this once-devoted child of the Shadowbinder has chosen to indulge in a small dose of harmless rebellion in giving this council she was sent to smother the protection that they paid for. And they will get what they paid for and more: Oriadne prides herself in being as powerful as Veiled Ones come. She melts seamlessly into her surroundings like a chameleon, then appears as a sudden, startling shower of green and purple glitter before completely seizing control of the minds of those around her, enticing them to sprint into their own eternal prison of shadows with visions of their wildest fantasies come true, and once they are where she wants them, they are condemned to their worst nightmares dragging them into the abyss. Once they see the shine of her mane and hear her light, vibrato-filled voice, it is too late.
Some in the Royal Guard find her methods perhaps extreme, maybe even excessively toying with her prey, but that's where the fun is to her. A Veiled One does not take insults of any shape or form, and blemished honor must be restored tenfold. Otherwise, a few pranks here and there to show your affection for these amusing, uptight, unsuspecting, preciously naive outsiders are very much encouraged. It's so fun when they get mad at each other for potential theft because you decided to switch their belongings around. Even more fun when they figure out it was you, but what can they do about it?
Oriadne holds great esteem in her honor code: direct lies are strictly prohibited. One can be a trickster without spouting nonsense, sometimes all it takes is a gentle nudge. She may be vindictive and take great glee in her vengeance, but she will also be sure to pay back any favor with double the kindness. Just be sure to accept her offers, else she be offended. It is not overly hard to tell when Oriadne has been offended: none have ever seen her frown, but her smile goes from amicable to wicked when her ire has been drawn. It is advisable to either apologize with a lavish gift or vacate the territory as soon as possible and as far as possible before the worst is to come. Should the worst come, all she'll say in response is "you can't prove anything". Oriadne does whatever she wants, and you cannot tell her otherwise. Unless, of course, you want to offer her a pretty penny. The only reason Lavonne hasn't yet been spirited away into a world of nightmares and illusions is because Captain Riyo has been paying a hefty sum of her personal budget to Oriadne in exchange for sparing the brazen Wildclaw's life.
She also loves to keep things nice and tidy. Never under any circumstance should one undo the work Oriadne has done to keep things clean. Ever.
A good friend of Luchtaine, albeit he seems a fair bit less intense than her.
