He/Him - Wyverian - Rider / Hunter

Blink is a Wyverian monster rider / hunter hailing from a chilly mountain village. The climate ranged from cold to freezing, so a majority of the wildlife found there favorited the element of ice. That being said, his main monstie is a Legiana, which he lovingly named Hyacinth. Hyacinth's egg was the very first egg Blink had ever hatched, and he vowed to keep him safe for as long as he lived. The two act as one, their synergy unmatched.

"I take after Hyacinth: when he shoots icicles, I do the same. It was meant to be this way."

Arrows fly by, frost trailing after each shot as they race towards a practice dummy. They pierce the target, perfectly centered. Blink is an expert at wielding the bow and knows exactly when to apply certain coatings for optimal use. Like a Legiana himself, he favors the ice element when choosing his weaponry. To him, the cold feels like home.

"We are a blizzard, snowflakes dancing madly as they bite into the flesh. You'd be wise to get out of our way."

Cold was another way to describe the young Wyverian. He kept to himself a majority of the time whilst growing up, opting to observe rather than speak to anyone around him. He could handle his own missions, take on his own fights. Blink wasn't keen on working with others who stood in his and Hyacinth's path to success. His frozen shell was a hard one to crack, but one person in particular managed to draw him out.

"You showed me what I was missing out of life. Joy and sorrow... one could not exist without the other."

He begrudgingly trained alongside someone who ended up becoming his best friend and partner, Icarus-- another monster rider, whose main monstie was a Lunagaron. The two were inseparable, unstoppable, and immortal-- or so Blink thought.

The two young Wyverians were tasked with investigating the den of their first elder dragon. Blink, overly confident and well-practiced in determining monster behavior, mistakenly interpreted a Velkhana's intent as cautious rather than aggressive. Icarus trusted his judgement. The riders turned to leave, yet only Blink and Hyacinth made it out of there alive.

"To have such a long life cut so short within a matter of seconds... Was I truly so blind as to think we could live forever?"

Winter turns to spring as Blink mourns such a heavy loss. He had barely breached his mid-20s, yet had already felt the sting of a world unforgiving in nature. The one he had cherished as the key to his locked heart perished at his own foolish mistake. Icarus's life may be gone, but Blink still had centuries left to experience. Eyes now open, he took on the world through a more curious lens.

It was no use spending his entire life dwelling on the mistakes of the past. Years go by as Blink travels the world, making new friends and forming new bonds with monsters and kin alike. Many of his friends were human hunters and riders; their lives a mere minute in the grand lifespan of a Wyverian. He shared his wisdom, earned through years of experience, with all who were keen on listening. With friends, he stood by their sides until the end. He was no stranger to the guaranteed finality in life.

"The joy of having is worth the sorrow of losing."

Adventurous - Clever - Realistic - Versed - Fond

Nowadays, it's hard to think this man had ever been so unemotional in the past. He loves to experiment with the world around him to create new ways to solve any problems he could ever come across. Blink accepts life as it is and strives to adapt to whatever gets thrown at him. His friends mean everything to him. If it is within his power, he tries to help as many folks as he can overcome hurdles and take on the toughest obstacles. Often times, he's referred to as an older brother figure for his willingness to lend a hand and patience to teach.
