Biography
Exuberant / Curious / Rebellious
Wip:
"Don't touch that", Salem snapped as the Aether's paw hovered over a rare document detailing the rise of Chief Cicada. It had been a mistake to introduce her student to her rare collections. She had heard of Aethers' penchant for eating books, and she knew for sure of her student Windshear's recklessness.
"Why not?"
"Because... it's one of a kind. If you damage it, the history of that event may be lost."
"Oh, dang. That sounds serious", Windshear replied, astonished.
"You are correct. It is serious."
"So..." Windshear, for lack of a better term, shimmied over to another shelf. "Can I look at this one?"
"No."
"What about this one?" Her paw hovered over a Prism Clan document, a gift from the local archivist who had several copies in their arsenal.
"Mmmm. Sure, that one's not that rare."
Windshear smiled brightly and grabbed a hold of the scroll, unraveling the parchment all over the floor.
"Be careful!"
"But you said that this one wasn't that rare!", she practically shouted.
"Ugh. Give me that." Salem took the scroll and carefully began coiling back around its base.
Salem was usually a patient and stoic dragon. She had lived long enough and experienced enough that life stopped fazing her. But deities give her mercy, she had never had a student quite like this. Now, she found herself losing patience more and more often.
"There." She set the scroll carefully back on the shelf. "You need to be careful unraveling scrolls. No matter how rare they are, these are the remnants of the history of the rising flights. We should be respectful to the past." When she turned back to Windshear, the Aether was staring down at her paws, dejected.
"I'm sorry I got too excited. It won't happen again."
"Well, you better not", said Salem. This only made the Aether look even more... droopy. Salem hated it when dragons looked like that.
Salem let out a sigh. "Why don't I teach you how to properly hold a scroll?"
