Devoto lost his right eye in the attempt to save his parents and his little sister from a group of wild wolves.
But he failed.
On the verge of dying along with his whole family, he was saved by the intervention of Dirge and Ferrari, who eliminated the wolves and decided to bring Devoto to their lair for healing.
Even after recovery, Devoto suffered a terrible depression and was determined to die in order to see his little sister and his parents once again in the afterlife. He decided to commit suicide drowning in the Leviathan Trench, but that same day he met Freyja, an abandoned dragon adopted by Dralnu and Tia.
Freyja reminded Devoto of his own little sister: always cheerful and smiling even in the face of adversities.
Devoto made up his mind: he would live on to protect his new little sister and this time he would not fail again!
